What did an independent QR-6020 review find?
Tatler isn't the only one to have put the BarberBoss QR-6020 in the spotlight. In May 2026, Jo Tebbs independently reviewed the grooming kit for What's Good To Do and awarded it 5/5.
During testing, Tebbs reported that the beard trimmer “was smooth and glided along without catching, snagging or pulling”, while the precision trimmer helped create a neat, defined finish. The review also praised how easily the magnetic attachments could be changed and highlighted the LED display, three speed levels and travel lock.
The review wasn't completely without criticism. Tebbs noted the lack of a blade cover and carry pouch, and found that the speed control could occasionally be knocked accidentally during use, although she said this had little to no impact on the shaving experience.
At the £32.99 RRP reviewed in May 2026, Tebbs described the QR-6020 as offering “exceptional value” and gave it a 5/5 rating.

What does the BarberBoss QR-6020 include?
The BarberBoss QR-6020 combines five magnetic grooming heads, allowing one device to cover several parts of an everyday grooming routine.
-
Hair & Beard Trimmer: for general haircuts and beard trimming.
-
Precision Trimmer: for beard lines and detailed styling.
-
Foil Shaver: for a close shave, finishing touches and smooth edges.
-
Body Trimmer: for areas including the chest, underarms and legs.
-
Nose & Ear Trimmer: for nose and ear hair.
The kit also includes four guide combs in 3 mm, 6 mm, 9 mm and 12 mm, a hairdressing comb, USB charging cable, cleaning brush and display tray.
Five heads sounds good on the box, but the more important question is whether you'll actually use them. If you're still deciding what features matter, our guide to what makes a good beard trimmer breaks down everything from blade quality and cutting lengths to power and battery life.

How long does the BarberBoss QR-6020 battery last?
The BarberBoss QR-6020 provides up to 60 minutes of cordless use from approximately one hour of charging, according to its instruction manual. The device charges using the supplied USB cable with a 5V 1A power source.
The LED display shows the remaining battery level and charging progress alongside the selected speed. The QR-6020 also has three speed settings and a travel lock activated by holding the power button for three seconds.
Is the BarberBoss QR-6020 waterproof?
The BarberBoss QR-6020 is designed to resist powerful water jets, but it should not be submerged in water, according to its instruction manual.
For cleaning, BarberBoss advises removing loose hair with the supplied brush. The detached blade can then be rinsed under running water and should be allowed to dry completely before being reattached.
So, while water resistance makes cleaning easier, don't take your QR-6020 for a bath.
Where else has the BarberBoss QR-6020 been featured?
The BarberBoss QR-6020 was also selected for H&N Magazine's June 2026 Father's Day gift coverage.
The publication included the £32.99 BarberBoss 5-in-1 Beard Trimmer among its “Gifts For Dads” recommendations for Father's Day.

Is the BarberBoss QR-6020 worth it?
For someone who will use several of its attachments, the BarberBoss QR-6020 packs a lot into one grooming tool.
